“ We were invited on our anniversary by @chef bal , who is at the helm of kitchen operations at Desi lounge. Every dish was curated , perfected and decorated like an artwork and chef Bal is a great artist. Very modern pop ambience . Even the owner came to our table and enquired about our experience .Hosts and servers were very presentable and attentive. We enjoyed Tandoori Lamb chops, Thepla chicken tacos,Tandoori momos, Malvani prawns curry and Motichur Cheese cake . ”

“ Went with my friends for lunch and was amazed by the flavour and variety they offer. Started off with Chicken Thepla tacos which were bomb and a perfect size for an appetizer. For Mains , we tried the Tandoori Pompfret (It was so appetizing that we didnt click a pictures before digging in ) , Malvai Chicken curry and few other dishes. The flavours were on point and it is definitey worth a visit.Also , the curtous staff were icing on the cake . Can’t wait to come with a bigger group and try more dishes. ”

“ We had the pleasure of visiting Desi Lounge for the first time and we didn’t realize it was their opening day ! The space is beautifully designed and colorful. There are multiple seating options with comfortable chairs and bench seating. There is a small bar close to the entrance. The team was welcoming and attentive to our every need. They have a carefully curated cocktail menu and each drink has a unique story. The menu is vast and the presentation is beautiful. The food was delicious and we loved every choice we made. We over ordered because there is so much to choose from but don’t worry they have take home boxes just in case. The owner came by the table twice to check on us as did the chef. Everyone was lovely! Highly recommended! ”

“ Literally the best meal I have had all year! Amazing, every dish was its own star. We had the pomfret which was incredibly tasty, the taco’s which were so layered in flavour and texture and the lamb chops which was juicy and just without a doubt my fave. Then came the mains which were 10/10 ”

“ We were visiting Vancouver for a week and were eating out every day. We mostly went for bakeries and Indian or Asian restaurants. We tried almost all major names in Vancouver, and out of all, the Desi Indian Lounge has the best Indian food. I am comparing it with Indian food I have had in India (10 states I have been to), USA (all major Indian population hubs), Canada, and Western Europe (5-6 countries). Why is this restaurant better, 1. The way food is customizable, you can ask restaurant staff to change the type of meat from recipe, and they do amazing job at that. 2. The spice level was perfect. Based on the level we mentioned, it was perfect without compromising any flavors in the dishes. 3. They have unique recipes, their desserts are amazing. I have not seen Ghevar or Indian style cheesecake the way they do. I had motichoor cheesecake, and it was a perfect combination. Kudos to the chef for coming up with that. 4. Lachha partha was not a typical store bought naan. It felt like it was cooked by them. 5. Their appetizers are amazing, and tandoori momos, manchurian, and salmon were great. I haven't had perfect Indo-chinese-nepalese food this good anywhere. 6. The vegetables on the sides given with starters are unique, unlike most Indian restaurants where they give you some onions on the side. I have not seen vegetables on the side served so well. 7. This is the most important factor in this restaurant, Chef Bala. Chef Bala is an extremely talented and humble person. We didn't know him before visiting this place. He stepped outside just to talk to us. I wish he would open business near my home. Restaurant ambiance is good. They thought thoroughly about decorating the place. Custom dinnerware and tables are cherry on top. Their staff is also extremely good. We were served by Nisha, and she gave perfect recommendations. ”

“ I came here a few months ago, the name of the place was different. I don’t remember the exact name of the old place but I’m really amazed by the renovation and rebranding it has gone through and it’s impressive. Kudos to the creative team behind the interior design of the place. The food is delicious, I asked them to make it in a specific way and they happily did it and did it right. I had a big day ahead of me and needed the right meal and glad I got it. The Veg Thali had so much food that I had to grab extra plates to eat it decently and still couldn’t finish it all. Absolutely amazing quantity for the price. The manager Deepa was really kind and attentive, gave me the flexibility to choose my own table, guided with the food and mostly was the one who must have discussed with the kitchen how I want my food and everything was taken care of perfectly. Ashish made sure every time he came to the table, he greeted positively. I feel he is shy, but very good hearted. I am a big fan of Kingfisher and I’m happy that you have it at a cheaper cost as compared to where I usually go to grab my Kingfisher’s so I’ll hopefully see you often, sometimes just for the kingfisher xD.
